When the builder is a long drive away, you want a court that asks little of you. The good news is that a well-built acrylic court doesn't need much, as long as a few simple habits become routine.
Week to week, keep it clean. Blow or sweep off leaves, dirt and grit, because grit under shoes wears the surface like sandpaper. Rinse it with a hose now and then, and wipe up anything sticky before it bakes in the sun.
Season to season, watch the water. Sprinklers should water the lawn, not the slab. After a storm, look for puddles that sit a long time; a low spot is easiest to fix early. Clear snow with a plastic shovel or let it melt, and never use salt.
Year to year, look for cracks. A hairline crack is normal in any concrete, and the post-tension slab under your court is built to keep them tight. If one starts to open, or the color starts to dull, that is the time to call about crack repair and a recoat of fresh Sports Master acrylic.
Most of the life of a court is decided before anyone plays on it: in the site assessment, the excavation and compacted base, the grading that sends water off, and the post-tension slab. That is the part we put the most care into, because it is the part you can't fix with a broom.

How much upkeep does an acrylic court need?
Keep it clean, keep sprinklers and puddles off it, and check for cracks once a year. That covers most of it.
What should we do about a new crack?
Hairline cracks are normal. If one starts to open, call about crack repair before it spreads.
When does a court need a recoat?
When the color dulls or the lines blur. A recoat of fresh acrylic brings it back.
Can salt be used on the court in winter?
No. Use a plastic shovel or let the snow melt; salt is hard on the surface.
