From the driveway to a court of your own
A hoop over the garage works until someone has to move the car, or a ball rolls into the street. In Utah's second-largest city, a court in the backyard takes the game off the driveway and puts it on a surface made for it, with lines that mean something and a hoop at the right height.
The first choice is half court or full. A half court with one hoop fits most yards and covers shooting, one-on-one and small games. A full court needs much more room but gives you a real game end to end. Either one can carry pickleball lines too, so the slab works for more than one sport.
The hoops we install are in-ground systems. An adjustable hoop with pinlock height lets younger kids and adults use the same rim, a fixed regulation hoop suits serious training, and a breakaway rim takes hard dunks without cracking the backboard. Pole and backboard pads protect players where they land.
Lines matter as much as the hoop. A free-throw line at the right distance and a three-point arc that fits the slab turn a patch of concrete into a place to practice the real thing, and the key can be painted in a color that pops against the rest of the court.
Beneath the lines, a West Valley City court starts with excavation and a graded base that drains, then a post-tension concrete slab, then Sports Master acrylic sand-mix in your colors. Salt Lake County winters freeze and thaw, and a court that sheds water is one that lasts.

Half court or full court: which fits my yard?
Most yards fit a half court with one hoop. A full court needs a lot more room. We measure at the free estimate and show you what fits.
What is a breakaway rim?
A rim on a spring that gives when someone hangs on it or dunks, so the rim and the backboard don't crack.
Can little kids use the same hoop as adults?
Yes, with an adjustable hoop. Its pinlock setting moves the rim down for kids and back up to regulation height for everyone else.
Can we add pickleball later?
Pickleball lines can be painted when the court is built or added later during a recoat, and a portable net sets up whenever you want to play.
