Custom Court Builders in Holladay, UT
Holladay is known for big lots under big trees. That shade is part of what makes a Holladay yard feel the way it does, and it changes where a court should go.

Placing a court among Holladay's trees
Mature trees give a court real advantages. Shade keeps the surface cooler on hot afternoons, and a court tucked among trees feels like part of the yard rather than a slab dropped into it. They also bring a few things to plan around.
Roots are the first. A large tree's roots spread well beyond its branches, and a court built over them can be lifted as they grow, or can damage the roots of a tree you want to keep. We look at the trees nearby during the site assessment and set the court where both can live.
Leaves and needles are the second. They stain if they sit wet on an acrylic surface, and they make a court slick underfoot. A court in the more open part of the yard stays cleaner, and a leaf blower after fall storms keeps it that way.
Shade is the third, and it cuts both ways. A surface that never sees the sun dries slowly after rain or watering, and constant damp invites mildew and moss. A court that gets sun for part of the day dries out and stays cleaner. Evening light under big trees also fades early, so Dominator LED lights earn their keep even in summer.
Once the spot is chosen, the base is excavated, compacted and graded to drain, the post-tension slab is poured, and Sports Master acrylic sand-mix is applied in your colors with regulation lines. A bigger Holladay lot can have room for a full basketball court, or a pickleball court with space around it.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in Holladay
Can a court go near our big trees?
Often, with care. Roots spread past the branches, so the court is placed where it won't be lifted and won't harm a tree you want to keep.
Will leaves damage the surface?
Wet leaves left on acrylic can stain it and make it slick. Blowing them off after storms keeps the court clean.
Is a fully shaded court a good idea?
Some sun helps. A surface in constant shade dries slowly and can grow mildew or moss.
Do we have room for a full court?
Some Holladay lots do. We measure the yard and the space between the trees before you decide.
Which crew covers Holladay?
The Northern Utah crew, which works out of Mapleton and covers the east side of the valley, from Millcreek to Cottonwood Heights.
