Getting a South Jordan court past the HOA
In a master-planned community like Daybreak, a backyard court is rarely just your decision. Most HOAs want to see what is going in before the work starts, and a clear plan makes that conversation short.
That plan starts with the basics a board asks about: where the court sits on the lot, how big it is, and how far it is from the property lines. We measure the yard at the free estimate, so the size and placement on the plan are real numbers, not guesses.
Color is often the next question. Some boards prefer quieter shades that blend with the neighborhood, like greens, blues or tans, and Sports Master acrylic comes in plenty of them. You can try combinations in the court designer on our home page and send your favorite along with the plan.
Lights and fencing come up too. Dominator LED lights can be placed to keep the light on the court and set on a timer, and court fencing or windscreens can be chosen to match what the HOA allows. Windscreens can also carry your family name or logo, if the HOA permits it.
It helps to show the board what the finished court looks like next to the house. A simple drawing of the lot with the court to scale, the color choice, and where any lights and fence will go answers most questions before they are asked.
Once the plan is approved, the build is excavation and grading so water drains away from your home and your neighbors, a post-tension concrete slab, then the acrylic surface and regulation lines.
