How a Provo court comes together

It starts with a conversation. Tell us what you want to play, roughly how much yard you have, and whether an HOA needs to approve it. If you'd like to experiment first, the court designer on our home page lets you try sports, colors and extras and send the result with your request.

Then comes the free estimate. We look at the yard itself: its size, its slope, where water goes when it rains, what is underground, and how equipment can get in. That site assessment is where the real plan is made, because two yards that look alike can need very different work. Bring your questions; this is the time to ask about anything from net height to lights.

Next is the ground. The court area is excavated, the base is compacted, and the whole pad is graded with a slight fall so water drains off. Forms go up, and the post-tension slab is poured: steel cables run through the concrete and are tensioned once it has cured, holding it together for the long run.

The surface comes after the slab is ready for it. Sports Master acrylic sand-mix goes on in layers, in the colors you chose, and the regulation lines are measured and painted last. Acrylic needs warm, dry weather to go down, so the surfacing is timed for it.

Finally the extras: in-ground hoops, net posts, fencing, windscreens and Dominator LED lights, whatever the plan includes. Then the court is yours.

Provo has everything from older homes near downtown to newer ones on the west side, and both kinds of yard can hold a court. With our Mapleton base about 9 miles away, Provo is one of the closest cities we serve. We also build in Orem, Springville and Spanish Fork.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."
