Around Daybreak's Oquirrh Lake and in South Jordan's other planned neighborhoods, backyards are often tidy and not huge. Families who want a hoop for the kids and a pickleball court for everyone else usually don't have room for two slabs. They don't need two.
The answer is a dual court: one slab, pickleball in the middle, and the basketball lane and hoop at an end. The pickleball lines take the middle (a 20-by-44 court whose kitchen runs 7 feet back from the net), and the key sits past one baseline with the hoop behind it. Each game's lines go down in their own color, so nobody confuses the free-throw lane with the kitchen line.
In a neighborhood with an HOA, one clear plan is easier to bring to the board than two projects. We help you put together the court's size, colors, fencing and any lights, so the approval request shows exactly what will be built.
Under the paint, the pad is graded to shed water and the concrete is post-tensioned with steel cables, then coated in Sports Master acrylic with sand for grip. A permanent net with sleeve-set posts or a portable one handles pickleball, and an in-ground adjustable hoop lets kids and adults share the basket.
