Court Resurfacing in Payson, UT
Irrigated Payson lots can leave water standing on a court in the same low spots after every watering or storm. Resurfacing levels those spots so water drains off, then recoats.

Fixing the low spots on a Payson court
Payson sits at the south end of Utah County below Mount Nebo, and many lots here are well watered. On a court, water shows you every flaw in the surface. After a storm or a sprinkler cycle, it collects in shallow dips and sits there long after the rest has dried. Players call these birdbaths, and they do more harm than leaving a wet spot.
Standing water stains the color, softens the texture, and seeps into any crack nearby. In winter it freezes on the surface and in the cracks. A birdbath also changes how a ball bounces and gives players a slick patch to land on.
On a resurface we find every low spot, often by wetting the court and watching where water stays, and mark them. The dips are filled with patch material and feathered at the edges until the surface is true, cracks are repaired, and the whole court is cleaned. New Sports Master acrylic goes down in layers with sand for traction, and the lines are repainted.
If irrigation water is reaching the court every day, moving a sprinkler head keeps the new surface dry. Our Northern Utah crew is only about 10 miles away in Mapleton, with Spanish Fork and Springville on the same side of the county.

Questions
Asked in Payson
What is a birdbath on a court?
A shallow low spot where water collects and stays after rain or watering. It stains the surface, gets slick, and lets water into nearby cracks.
Can low spots be fixed without a new slab?
Usually. They are filled with patch material and feathered level during prep, then covered by the new coats. A slab that has sunk badly is a bigger repair, and we will tell you.
How do you find every low spot?
Water shows them. We look at the court wet, mark where water stays, and level each spot before coating.
Does your crew cover Payson?
Yes. Payson is roughly 10 miles from our Northern Utah crew in Mapleton, which also resurfaces courts in Spanish Fork and Springville.
