Keeping the ball out of the Payson ditch
On plenty of Payson properties, an irrigation ditch runs along a fence line or across the back of the lot. It is a fine thing to have for the garden and a terrible place for a basketball. A missed shot that finds the ditch comes back wet and muddy, if it comes back at all.
So the court is placed with the ditch in mind. Setting the hoop end away from it means missed shots fly toward the yard instead of the water. Chain-link court fencing on the ditch side, or a ball rebounder behind the hoop, keeps the ball where it belongs.
Water works the other way too. Irrigation turns and flood watering can push water toward a court, so the grading is planned to keep that water moving away from the slab rather than across it.
Then the court itself: a post-tension concrete slab, its steel cables pulled tight after it cures to keep cracks closed, finished in Sports Master acrylic sand-mix with the key and arc painted in. An in-ground adjustable hoop lets the whole family play. Payson is about 10 miles from our Mapleton base, and the estimate is free.

Great work! Friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them!
Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in Payson
Where should the hoop face on a Payson lot with a ditch?
Away from the ditch, so missed shots carry toward the yard. Fencing or a rebounder on that side catches the rest.
Can irrigation water damage a court?
Standing water is hard on any court. The grading is planned so irrigation water moves away from the slab instead of toward it.
Do we need fencing all the way around?
Not always. On many Payson lots, fencing along the ditch side alone does most of the work.
How far is your crew from Payson?
About 10 miles. Our Northern Utah crew is based in Mapleton, just up the road.
