Our Northern Utah crew is based in Mapleton, so courts here are the closest work we do. Mapleton's bigger lots and open, irrigated yards are good places for a court, and they also bring a particular kind of wear: secondary irrigation water.
Like much of Utah County, Mapleton waters lawns and gardens with untreated secondary water. It carries silt and minerals that drinking water doesn't, and when sprinklers hit a court, that residue dries on the surface as brown or white staining. Edges that get soaked every evening also lose color and texture faster than the rest of the court, and cracks there take on water.
On a resurface, those stains are scrubbed off and the edges repaired along with any cracks and low spots. Then the acrylic: several layers of Sports Master, sand mixed through them, and lines painted sharp on top. Adjusting a few sprinkler heads afterward keeps the new surface clean.
Being this close makes it simple to come out for a free estimate, or to come back and fill a new crack before it grows. We resurface courts in neighboring Springville, Spanish Fork and Provo as well.

What are the stains along the edge of our Mapleton court?
Often residue from secondary irrigation water, which carries silt and minerals. When it dries on the court it leaves brown or white marks. Cleaning removes them, and new coats cover what is left.
Can secondary water damage a court?
Daily soaking wears the coating at the edges and lets water into cracks. Aiming sprinklers away from the court is the simplest protection.
