Getting your Provo court ready for resurfacing
Provo is a short drive from our Northern Utah crew's base in Mapleton, so getting out to look at a court is easy to arrange. On that visit we check the cracks, find where water stands, look at how well the old coating is holding, and talk through colors and lines. You get a free estimate with the scope written out.
On the job, the order is always the same. First the court is cleaned, because new acrylic needs a clean surface to hold. Then cracks are repaired and low spots are filled. Then the acrylic resurfacer goes on to even everything out, followed by the color coats. The regulation lines are painted last, along with any pickleball lines in their own color.
A few things on your side help. Move furniture, planters and portable hoops off the court before we arrive. Turn off or redirect sprinklers that reach the surface, and keep them off until we say the coatings have cured. Keep pets and bikes off the court in the meantime, and let anyone who plays on it know the dates.
Provo sits about 9 miles from Mapleton, and our crew works in Orem, Springville and Spanish Fork as well.

Questions
Asked in Provo
What should we move before you resurface our Provo court?
Anything sitting on the surface: chairs, planters, portable hoops and nets, rebounders and toys. A clear court lets the crew start cleaning right away.
Do we need to turn off our sprinklers?
Any that reach the court, yes, from the start of the job until we tell you the coatings have cured. Water on a fresh coat can mark it.
In what order does the work happen?
Cleaning, crack and low-spot repair, acrylic resurfacer, color coats, then the lines. Each layer dries before the next one goes on.
When can we play on the court again?
Once the final coats and lines have cured, which depends on the weather. We will tell you when it is ready rather than guess at a date in advance.
