A Cedar City court for Summer Games season
The Utah Summer Games fill Cedar City with athletes every summer, many of them playing at Southern Utah University's courts and fields. A multi-sport court at home lets a family prepare for whichever events they enter: basketball with a regulation hoop, pickleball with a permanent net, tennis or volleyball where the lot allows.
Training in Cedar City also means building for winter. At around 5,800 feet the ground freezes hard, so the pad is excavated and graded for drainage and the slab is post-tension concrete. Its cables are drawn tight once the concrete cures, holding it in compression so freeze and thaw can't pry small cracks open.
A training court benefits from the right surface and gear. Sports Master acrylic sand-mix gives consistent grip, CushionX from AT Sports, which we're certified to put down under the acrylic, adds give for long sessions, and a ball rebounder lets one player drill alone. Lines for each sport go on in their own colors.
Add fencing, windscreens and Dominator LED lights for summer evenings. Cedar City is a 49-mile drive up I-15 from Ivins, home of our Southern Utah crew, and we'll price the court for free.

Questions
Asked in Cedar City
Can one court cover several Summer Games sports?
A multi-sport slab can carry basketball, pickleball and volleyball lines, and tennis on a larger lot, each painted in a different color.
How does a Cedar City court handle hard winters?
The post-tension slab is built for it: tightened steel cables keep the concrete compressed, and a well-drained pad keeps water from sitting under it.
What helps one player train alone?
A ball rebounder sends the ball back every time, and Dominator LED lights let practice continue after dark.
Is Cedar City within your service area?
Yes. Our Southern Utah crew is based in Ivins, about 49 miles away, and builds there and across Washington County.
