Cedar City sits at the foot of the mountains, with Brian Head's slopes close enough for a winter day trip and long summer evenings that suit pickleball. Knees and ankles do a lot of work across those seasons, and the court is one place to give them a break.
That is what CushionX is for. The AT Sports rubber cushion mat is laid under the acrylic, and it takes some of the jolt out of every step, split step and lunge. We are certified CushionX installers and can explain how it changes the feel of a court before you decide. A standard court without it plays well too; it simply feels firmer.
Cedar City winters are real winters at this elevation, so the base matters as much as the surface. We excavate and grade so snowmelt drains off, then pour a post-tension concrete slab whose cables are tightened after it cures, keeping the cracks that cold brings from spreading. The playing surface is Sports Master sand-mix acrylic, lined to regulation with 7-foot kitchens.
