When a young Lehi court already looks tired
Lehi has grown fast, and so have its backyard courts. Plenty were built in the last several years, and some of them already look older than they are. Full sun, wind off the Point of the Mountain and heavy play after work and on weekends add up. The first signs are a gray cast to the color, lines that have lost their crisp edge, and a few hairline cracks.
That is normal wear for an acrylic surface, and it is the easy kind to fix. A resurface on a young court is mostly about the top layers: a good clean, crack repair, fresh Sports Master acrylic with sand for traction, and new lines. The slab underneath, if it was built well, has plenty of life left.
If the court was built by someone else and you are not sure what is under the surface, we check the slab and drainage before quoting. And if the family's games have changed since it was built, new lines can go on for pickleball, basketball or both.

Our Lehi court isn't that old. Why does it look faded?
Sun, wind and frequent play wear the top layers of any acrylic court. Fading and softened lines can appear within a few seasons on a court in full sun, and a resurface renews them.
Is resurfacing a young court a big job?
Usually less than an older one. With a sound slab and few cracks, most of the work is cleaning, light repair and new coats and lines.
