Getting the surface right on a Nephi court
Most people choose a court by its colors, but players notice the texture first. Sports Master's sand-mix acrylic carries fine grit through the surface, which lets a shoe plant and push off and keeps the ball's bounce steady. In Nephi's dry, dusty high-desert air, grip is worth getting right.
Texture can be tuned. A bit more grit gives more bite underfoot and slows the ball slightly; a smoother finish plays quicker. We talk through how your family plays, then match the surface to it. Either way, a quick rinse when dust settles keeps the texture doing its job.
Beneath the surface is the part you never see. Days and nights in Nephi can sit far apart on the thermometer, so we grade the base to drain and pour a post-tension slab, with cables tightened inside once it cures so the cracks every slab gets stay hairline. Then the regulation lines go on: 20 by 44 feet, kitchens 7 feet deep.

What does the sand in the acrylic do?
