Turning a bare Herriman slab into a court
Resurfacing usually means renewing a worn court, but in a growing city like Herriman we also get asked to surface concrete that never had a coating at all: a sport pad the builder poured, a slab left from a shed, an extra-wide patio. Bare concrete is hard on the knees, gets slick when dusty and has no lines. A Sports Master acrylic system fixes all three.
First we check whether the slab is worth surfacing. It needs to be big enough for the game, solid, and sloped so water runs off rather than pooling. Fresh concrete also has to cure fully before acrylic will bond to it, so a brand-new pad sometimes has to wait. If the slab passes, we clean it, repair any cracks, and build up the acrylic coats with sand for traction, then paint regulation lines.

Can the plain concrete pad behind our Herriman home become a court?
Often, yes, if it is large enough, solid and drains. We check it at the estimate. If it passes, it gets cleaned, repaired and coated in acrylic with regulation lines.
Our concrete was just poured. Can you coat it now?
New concrete needs to cure fully before acrylic will bond to it, so we may have to wait. We will tell you when the slab is ready.
Why not just paint the concrete?
Ordinary paint is slick when wet, peels, and has no grip built in. A court acrylic system goes on in layers with sand mixed in, so it grips, wears evenly and holds its color outdoors.
