Court Resurfacing in Sandy, UT
On a sloped Sandy lot, rain and snowmelt run downhill across the court. Resurfacing repairs what that water has done: cracks, low spots, silt stains and worn coating.

When water runs across a Sandy court
Sandy's east-side yards climb toward the Wasatch, and water follows the slope. On many hillside courts, runoff from the yard above crosses the surface in every storm and every spring thaw. It carries silt that stains the acrylic, it collects in any dip, and it seeps into cracks where freezing nights pry them a little wider.
A resurface deals with the damage. The court is washed and the old surface prepared, cracks are routed out and filled, and the low spots where puddles linger are patched level so water runs off instead of sitting. Then layers of Sports Master acrylic with sand for grip go on, and the lines are repainted crisp.
The water itself is the other half of the job. At the estimate we look at where it comes from: a downspout aimed at the court, a planter bed above it, a lawn graded toward the slab. A small change upslope, like redirecting a downspout or adding a drain along the high edge, can keep the new surface clean far longer.
If the slab has shifted on the slope, we will tell you plainly whether a resurface will hold. Sandy is roughly 34 miles up the freeway from Mapleton, our Northern Utah crew's home base, and that crew recoats Draper and Cottonwood Heights courts as well.

Questions
Asked in Sandy
Why does our Sandy court always have a puddle in the same place?
That spot sits a little lower than the rest, often because the slab settled on the slope. We patch low spots level during a resurface so water drains off instead of pooling.
Can the brown stains from runoff be removed?
Washing removes some of it, and what remains is covered by the new acrylic coats. Keeping runoff off the court afterward is what keeps the new color clean.
Will resurfacing stop cracks from coming back?
Repairs close the cracks that are there now. If the slab keeps moving with the ground, some can reopen over time, so we tell you at the estimate how stable the slab looks.
How far is your crew from Sandy?
Roughly 34 miles. Sandy resurfacing jobs go to the Northern Utah crew from Mapleton, which also recoats courts in Draper and Cottonwood Heights on the east side of the county.
