Tennis Court Resurfacing in St. George, UT
In St. George, tennis is played all winter and summer is too hot to coat a court. That leaves spring and fall for resurfacing, and a little planning keeps it out of your favorite season.

Fitting a St. George recoat around the seasons
St. George plays tennis year-round, and its busiest stretch runs through the mild winter, when winter visitors arrive and courts all over town are in use. Summer brings the opposite problem. A court in the sun on a July afternoon gets far too hot for acrylic coatings, which need moderate temperatures, roughly between 50 and 90 degrees, to cure properly.
So resurfacing in St. George happens in the shoulder seasons. If you live here all year, late spring or early fall keeps your court out of play when you would least miss it. If you spend summers up north, we can resurface after you leave in spring and have the court ready for your return, working out access and colors with you before you go.
The job itself starts with a full wash to clear the red dust, then crack and low-spot repair, a coat of acrylic resurfacer to level the surface, and new color coats topped with sharp regulation lines. Pickleball lines in a contrasting color are easy to add, so the court serves both games.
Ivins, home of our Southern Utah crew, is about 8 miles away. Estimates are free.

Questions
Asked in St. George
Why can't you resurface our St. George court in summer?
On a hot afternoon the court surface gets far hotter than the air, and acrylic coatings dry too fast to cure properly. Spring and fall give the new surface a sound finish.
We spend summers away. Can the court be done while we are gone?
Yes. We can agree the repairs and colors with you before you leave, arrange access, and resurface in late spring so the court is ready when you come back.
How long will our court be out of play?
Until the last coats have cured, which depends on the weather. In the mild shoulder seasons that goes smoothly, and we give you the dates before we start.
Can pickleball lines go on a St. George tennis court?
Yes. They are painted in a color that stands apart from the tennis lines, so players of either game can follow their own.
