Some homes around Hurricane and Sand Hollow are rented to visitors, and a court that guests use all season wears hard. Resurfacing between bookings brings it back to the condition guests expect.

Resurfacing a court at a Hurricane vacation rental

With Zion and Sand Hollow close by, some Hurricane homes spend much of the year hosting visitors, and a tennis or pickleball court is a feature guests notice. Guest use is hard use: lots of players, street shoes, bikes and coolers rolled across the surface, and sand carried in from the dunes and the reservoir shore.

That shows up as worn texture, scuffs, gritty corners and lines that fade faster than on a private court. A resurfacing renews it all. We wash the court and clear sand from every crack, repair cracks and low spots, and lay acrylic resurfacer, new color coats and fresh regulation lines, with pickleball lines if your guests play both games.

For a rental, scheduling is the main thing. We plan the work for a gap in your calendar in spring or fall, when the weather lets acrylic cure, and give you clear dates so you can block them off. A sign asking guests to brush sand off and keep bikes and coolers off the court helps the new surface last.

Our Southern Utah crew drives over from Ivins, roughly 22 miles west of Hurricane. The estimate is free, whether the court is at your own home or a rental.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions

Asked in Hurricane

Can you resurface our Hurricane rental's court between bookings?

Yes, if the gap falls in a season when acrylic can cure. We give you clear dates to block off, and the court is ready for guests once the coatings have cured.

Why does a rental court wear faster?

More players, more street shoes, more sand carried in, and more things rolled across it. Each wears the texture and color a little, and it adds up across a season.

What helps guests look after the court?

A broom by the gate, a short sign about sand, bikes and coolers, and a quick blow-off between your cleanings. Small habits slow the wear.

Can the court serve both tennis and pickleball guests?

Yes. Pickleball lines in a contrasting color go on with the resurfacing, and a portable pickleball net lets guests switch games.
