Pickleball Court Installation in Farmington, UT
Farmington's canyon winds can arrive overnight and hit hard. A pickleball court here is built with everything that could blow away either anchored or left out, so a windstorm leaves it as it was.

A Farmington court with nothing to blow away
Long-time Farmington residents tend to have a story about the east wind: a trampoline in the neighbor's yard, a fence panel down the street. A pickleball court has a few things on it that can fly or tip, and the time to deal with them is when the court is designed.
Start with the net. A portable net is light and easy to move, which is exactly the problem on a windy night. A permanent net on posts set into sleeves in the slab stays where it belongs. If you want a courtside bench, have it installed rather than set loose on the surface.
The court underneath is built for Davis County weather. We walk the site, grade the base so water drains off, and pour post-tension concrete, the cables inside it tensioned after it hardens to keep fine cracks closed. The surface is Sports Master acrylic sand-mix with regulation lines in your colors.
Fencing around the court keeps balls in, and windscreens on it break up the gusts that reach the court. Farmington is about 62 miles north of Mapleton, where our Northern Utah crew is based. Estimates are free.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in Farmington
Will a portable net stay put in Farmington's wind?
It may not stay where you left it. A permanent net on sleeve-set posts is the safer choice here, with a portable net kept for a driveway or a second court.
What do windscreens do on a pickleball court?
They fasten to the fence and cut the wind and glare across the court, which helps a light pickleball fly true. They can also carry your name or logo.
What sits under the acrylic?
A post-tension concrete slab on a graded, draining base. Its steel cables are tightened after the pour so small cracks stay closed.
Do you build elsewhere in Davis County?
Yes. Our Northern Utah crew builds from Bountiful up to Layton and Kaysville as well as here in Farmington.
