From the foothills to the bay: Farmington courts
Davis County is a narrow strip of land, and Farmington shows it. On the east side, homes climb toward the canyon and a court needs a level pad cut into the slope. On the west side, nearer Farmington Bay, the ground is flatter and can stay damp, so the question becomes drainage. A sport court that suits one end of town would be planned differently at the other.
Either way, we start by digging out and grading the pad: level enough to play, with a fall that sends water away. Where the soil holds water, subsurface drainage goes in before the concrete. The slab is post-tension, with steel tendons stretched inside it after curing so it stays compressed and resists cracking.
Then the court takes shape. Basketball, pickleball, volleyball or tennis lines go onto a Sports Master acrylic surface, each in its own color. Fencing, plus windscreens where the canyon winds blow, protects the game, and a scoreboard and courtside bench make it feel like a real venue.
Our Northern Utah crew travels about 62 miles from Mapleton to Farmington, and we're happy to come out for a free estimate.

Questions
Asked in Farmington
Does it matter which side of Farmington my house is on?
It changes the plan. Foothill lots need a level pad cut into the slope; lower lots toward the bay may need more attention to drainage. We look at your ground at the free estimate.
What if my yard stays wet in spring?
We grade the pad so water runs off and add subsurface drainage under the court where the ground holds water. A dry base is what keeps the slab sound.
Are windscreens worth it in Farmington?
On the east side, where canyon winds can blow hard, windscreens on the court fence cut the wind and the glare. They can carry your logo, too.
Which sports fit on one Farmington court?
Basketball and pickleball are a natural pair on one slab; volleyball and tennis need more length. Each gets lines in its own color.
