A Kaysville court for players who practice daily
A backyard court gives a player on one of Davis High's teams somewhere to work between practices. A fixed regulation hoop is the core of a basketball player's court, and a ball rebounder returns every shot so one person can put up hundreds of them. Volleyball players can have their own lines on the same slab.
Serious practice needs a surface that behaves the same every day. The court sits on a post-tension concrete slab poured over a pad we dig out and grade for drainage; cables in the slab are tensioned after curing so it stays flat and tight. Sports Master acrylic sand-mix on top gives a steady bounce and good grip, and lines for each sport go on in their own colors.
A court that gets used daily also benefits from a little give. CushionX from AT Sports, which we are certified to install, is a rubber mat beneath the acrylic that's easier on legs over long sessions.
Round it out with chain-link fencing, a scoreboard and timer, and Dominator LED lights for practice after dark. Kaysville sits some 66 miles up I-15 from Mapleton, where the Northern Utah crew starts its day; we come out and price the court at no cost.

What does a basketball player need on a home court?
A fixed regulation hoop, enough slab for a key and some room around it, and a ball rebounder for solo work. A breakaway rim helps if there's a lot of dunking.
Can a volleyball player use the same court?
