Out in Heber Valley, many lots have open ground that a city yard can only dream about. That space invites a question: one big court, or several small ones? Four pickleball courts fit on roughly the footprint of a single tennis court, which is why many clubs have divided tennis courts this way.
At home, four is usually more than anyone needs, but two side by side is common for families who host, and a single court with space beside it for a bench and a ball rebounder makes a good gathering spot. We lay out the options on your own Heber City lot at the site walk.
The open ground still has to be built right. Heber Valley winters are long and cold, so we dig out and grade the base to carry water away and pour a post-tension slab, its cables tightened after it cures so small cracks stay put. Sports Master acrylic sand-mix, regulation lines and permanent nets go on each court.

How many pickleball courts fit where a tennis court would go?
About four. A tennis doubles court's lines are 78 by 36 feet; each pickleball court's are 20 by 44, and four fit within roughly the same overall footprint.
Is two courts too many for a family?
Not if you host often. Two side by side keep eight players busy at once.
What should go beside the court?
A courtside bench, a ball rebounder for practice, or simply open space for spectators. We plan the slab and fencing around what you want.
Does Heber's winter change the build?
The base is graded so snowmelt drains away, and the post-tension slab keeps freeze-thaw cracks from spreading.
