Placing a Nephi court around what's underground
Many Nephi homes sit on larger lots outside the center of town, and some of what matters most on those lots is out of sight. A septic tank and its drain field, a well line, a sprinkler main: none of them should end up under a basketball court.
A drain field needs open ground above it, so a slab shouldn't go over it, and lines buried under a court are hard to reach once it is poured. So the site walk for a Nephi court starts with what you know about the yard underground, and the court is placed where the ground is clear. The hoop end is then turned to suit the yard and the afternoon sun.
With the spot chosen, the pad is excavated and graded so water drains off. Nephi's hot days and cold nights are hard on concrete, and the answer is the slab: post-tension concrete whose steel cables are drawn tight after the pour cures, holding it in compression so small cracks stay closed. Sports Master acrylic sand-mix finishes it in your colors.
Dominator basketball equipment is built for outdoor conditions, and an in-ground adjustable hoop lets the whole family share it. Nephi is about 32 miles south of our Mapleton base, an easy drive down I-15, and the estimate is free.

Can a court go over a septic drain field?
It shouldn't. A drain field needs open ground above it, so the court goes on clear ground elsewhere in the yard.
