Getting a court into an older Ogden yard
Ogden has some of the oldest neighborhoods in northern Utah, with narrow side yards, detached garages and backyards that open onto alleys. Those yards can hold a basketball court; the first question is how the equipment gets there.
Building a court takes an excavator to dig and grade, and concrete delivered for the slab. On an older lot the way in might be the alley, a side gate or across the front lawn, and each choice changes the plan. We work that out on the site walk, along with where water should drain once the court is in.
Once access is solved, the court goes in the usual way. The pad is graded so runoff leaves the court, the slab is post-tension concrete whose steel cables are tightened after curing to keep cracks closed, and Sports Master acrylic sand-mix goes on in your colors. Weber State fans can paint the key purple if they like.
For the hoop, an in-ground adjustable model suits mixed ages and a fixed regulation hoop suits a dedicated shooter. Chain-link along an alley side keeps balls out of traffic. Ogden is about 79 miles from our Mapleton base, so we set up the free estimate visit with you ahead of time.

Great work! Friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them!
Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in Ogden
Can a court be built in a yard with only alley access?
Often, yes. We look at the alley, gates and turns on the site walk and plan how the excavation equipment and concrete reach the yard.
Do older Ogden lots drain differently?
Every lot is different. The grading plan comes from how water moves across your yard now, and the pad is shaped so the court sheds it.
Can the key be painted in Weber State purple?
Yes. The key, the court and the border can each be their own color, and a logo can be painted in as well.
Is fencing a good idea next to an alley?
It is. Chain-link court fencing on the alley side keeps loose balls from rolling out where cars and people pass.
