West Jordan pickleball after the sun drops
The Oquirrh Mountains run along the west edge of West Jordan, and the sun slips behind them while it is still light out. For a pickleball court that is good news: the heat comes off the surface, the glare goes away, and the most pleasant hour of the day for a game begins. The question is how to keep playing once that light fades.
Dominator LED court lights answer it. We set the poles so the whole court is lit evenly, and a timer or remote means nobody has to remember to switch them off. If you think you may want lights later, tell us before the pour, so the power can be planned while the yard is open.
The court itself is regulation: 20 by 44 feet of lines with a 7-foot kitchen on each side of the net, painted over Sports Master acrylic sand-mix in the colors you choose. It sits on post-tension concrete over a graded base that sheds water. Many players like the kitchen in a lighter shade than the court, which keeps that line easy to see as the evening goes on.
Sleeve-set posts hold a permanent net that never has to come down during the season, and chain-link fencing keeps stray balls in your yard rather than the neighbor's. Our Northern Utah crew is about 39 miles away in Mapleton, and the estimate is free.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in West Jordan
Can we play after dark in West Jordan?
With Dominator LED court lights, yes. They light the court evenly, and a timer or remote turns them off when the game is done.
Should the lights go in when the court is built?
It is simpler if they do, or at least if the power is planned then. Tell us at the estimate if lights are a maybe, and we will plan for them.
What color should the kitchen be?
Any Sports Master color you like, but a kitchen that contrasts with the court makes the non-volley line easier to judge, especially in evening light.
Do you put fencing around pickleball courts?
We install chain-link court fencing that keeps balls in the yard. Windscreens can go on it if you want less wind and glare, or your name on the court.
