Bought a Layton home that came with a court?
Homes change hands often in Layton: it is Davis County's largest city, and Hill Air Force Base sits next door. If yours came with a tennis court, you may have inherited one that sat through a few winters without much care: faded color, lines half gone, weeds at the edges, and cracks you are not sure about.
The first job is finding out what is underneath. We look at the cracks to see whether they are surface cracks or signs that the base has moved, check where water stands, and see whether the old coating is still stuck down. Often the court is in better shape than it looks.
If the base is sound, a resurfacing brings it back. We clean the court, repair cracks and low spots, remove any coating that has let go, and lay down acrylic resurfacer, new color coats and regulation lines. Since the colors are now yours to choose, it is also the time to add pickleball lines, a new net and posts, or Dominator LED lights.
Our Northern Utah crew is based in Mapleton, about 68 miles away, and works in Kaysville and Ogden as well. Estimates are free, and we will give you a straight answer about the court you bought.

Supreme Custom Courts, and specifically Ola, we're wonderful. I called Supreme with what turned out to be a simple question on how to "fix" something on our Dominator hoop. About 10 minutes later Ola was at our house and two minutes later the problem was "fixed."

Questions
Asked in Layton
Our Layton house came with a run-down court. Is it worth saving?
Often it is. If the base has not shifted badly, resurfacing renews everything on top with far less work than a rebuild. We will look at it and tell you which you have.
How can we tell if the cracks are serious?
Thin cracks that stay put are usually surface cracks. Wide ones, cracks with one side higher than the other, or cracks that reopen after repair point to movement in the base. We check for both.
Do we need to keep the old court colors?
No. A resurfacing applies all-new color coats, so you can pick any court and border colors and add a logo or pickleball lines.
What upkeep does a resurfaced court need?
Not much: keep it swept, give it a rinse from time to time, keep sprinklers off it, and have new cracks filled while they are small.
