Tennis Court Resurfacing in Bountiful, UT
On Bountiful's east bench, a tennis court takes the afternoon sun and the glare off the valley. Resurfacing renews color the sun has faded, and the right colors and windscreens help with the glare.

Afternoon glare on a Bountiful bench court
Bountiful's homes climb the bench above the valley, and a court up there gets the full afternoon and evening sun as it drops toward the Great Salt Lake. That sun does two things. It fades the acrylic on the side of the court that takes it longest, and on a court that runs east and west it shines straight into the eyes of whoever faces the valley.
A resurfacing deals with the fading. We clean the court, repair the cracks that winters on the bench have opened, fill low spots, and lay down acrylic resurfacer and new color coats with crisp lines. Since the color is new, it is a good time to choose it with the light in mind: medium and deeper shades throw back less glare than very pale ones, and a contrasting border makes the lines easy to pick out against a bright sky.
Windscreens help too. Hung on the fence at the west end, they cut the low-sun glare at court level and give players a solid background, and they can carry your family name or logo.
Our Northern Utah crew is based in Mapleton, about 56 miles south, and also works in Farmington and Kaysville. Estimates are free.

Questions
Asked in Bountiful
Why has one end of our Bountiful court faded more?
That end usually takes the most direct afternoon sun. Acrylic fades with long exposure, so the west-facing side goes first. New color coats bring the whole court back to one even shade.
Which court colors help with glare?
Medium and deeper shades reflect less light than very pale ones, and a contrasting border helps the lines stand out. Afternoon light changes how a color reads, so choose with your court's own light in mind.
Do windscreens really cut glare?
They block light at court level on the side they hang, and give players an even, dark background to follow the ball against. On a west-facing bench court, that end is where they help most.
Can you work on a court with a steep driveway or tight access?
Usually, yes. Resurfacing does not need heavy machines on the court, and we work out how materials get there when we come out for the estimate.
