Resurfacing a Park City court while you are away
Second homes are a big part of Park City, and their tennis courts lead a double life: hard play for a few weeks, then long stretches with nobody on them. At around 7,000 feet, the sun is strong enough to fade acrylic whether anyone is playing or not, and winter leaves cracks behind whether anyone sees them or not.
That makes resurfacing something to plan ahead. The coating season here is short, because acrylic needs moderate temperatures to cure and the mountain summer does not last long. We set dates early, and if you will not be in town, we can coordinate access, scope and timing with your property manager.
The work itself follows the usual steps: clean the court, repair cracks and low spots, then lay acrylic resurfacer, color coats and new regulation lines. With the strong sun up here, it is worth choosing colors you will still like after a few summers, and a new net and posts or windscreens can go on the same quote.

Can you resurface our Park City court when we are not there?
Yes. We can agree the scope and colors with you ahead of time and work out access with your property manager or a neighbor, then let you know when the court is ready.
Why does court color fade faster up here?
At Park City's altitude the sun's ultraviolet light is stronger, and acrylic color slowly breaks down under it. A court here can fade sooner than one down in the valley.
When is the coating season in Park City?
Mostly midsummer. Acrylic needs moderate days and nights to cure, and at this altitude that window opens late and closes early. Booking in spring gives you the most choice of dates.
Do you also replace nets and windscreens?
Yes. Regulation tennis posts, net and center strap, and windscreens printed with your name or logo, can be installed along with the resurfacing.
